Transadvisory Legal fuels clean energy outlook with addition of new associate Emmanuel Arikpo
Transadvisory Legal is a dynamic law firm established in Abuja in 2021 with a vision to become one of Nigeria’s premier legal service providers. Looking to the future, it yesterday announced the addition of sustainable energy lawyer Emmanuel Arikpo
The addition of energy and corporate commercial lawyer Emmanuel Arikpo strengthens the capacity of Transadvisory Legal in key sectors while reinforcing the firm’s commitment to offering innovative, forward-looking legal solutions to clients across industries, said the fast-growing Nigerian firm yesterday.
“Emmanuel brings valuable experience in Energy Law and Corporate and Commercial Practice, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and sustainable development,” said the Transadvisory Legal while announcing he’d joined as an associate. “His legal practice reflects a strong interest in energy policy and the evolving landscape of Nigeria’s clean energy transition, where he continues to explore the intersection of law, business, and sustainability.”
As a 21st-century practice, Transadvisory Legal continues to bridge the gap between traditional legal services and strategic partnerships. Its approach prioritizes technically sound, commercially viable solutions aligned with long-term client goals.
“I’m excited to collaborate with brilliant colleagues and contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering innovative and forward looking legal solutions,” said Emmanuel, who earned his LLB from the University of Calabar and was called to the Nigerian Bar in early 2024. “Here’s to new beginnings and continued impact!”
Emmanuel has contributed to research initiatives on sustainable energy for development and authored insightful works on Nigeria’s energy policy and the role of clean energy in driving economic growth. As a UN Volunteer and research contributor with the UNDP Sustainable Energy Hub, he has supported projects advancing SDG 7, exploring solutions that expand access to clean power and promote sustainable energy transitions.
Emmanuel has also been a Fellow of the Africa Youth Negotiators Fellowship (AYNF), where he engaged in climate diplomacy and UNFCCC-focused training, helping shape youth participation in global climate negotiations.
In August, Transadvisory Legal added Timothy Nworie, Miriam Anyanwu, and Ibrahim Zubair as new associates. By investing in the next generation of lawyers, it has bolstered its capacity to deliver cutting-edge legal support across key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, finance, capital markets, and dispute resolution.
The firm views legal challenges not just as problems to solve, but opportunities to advance client objectives, Managing Partner Rilwan Idris told Africa Legal earlier this year. “Our commitment to building long-term relationships based on trust, reliability, and exceptional service makes us a trusted partner for varied clients with Nigerian and international interests, who seek robust, innovative, and strategic legal support.”
