Established in early 2000, The Law Crest LLP commenced business as a legal consulting firm with a bias for corporate commercial law, foreign investment, and banking & finance. Now with offices in Lagos and Abuja, it has announced the internal promotion of two Senior Associates along with the new hire of Kingsley Itodo.
Lagos-headquartered commercial law firm The Law Crest LLP, which celebrated its 25 year anniversary last year, has announced the “well deserved promotion” to Senior Associate of dispute resolution lawyer Femi Ishola and commercial lawyer Ololade Aliyu, along with welcoming in-house lawyer Kingsley Itodo as a Senior Associate.
Since its establishment in early 2000, The Law Crest LLP has expanded to operate in Lagos, Abuja, and maintains affiliate offices in Port Harcourt, Benin and Calabar.
With cross-border capability (including practice in England & Wales), boutique client focus, and expertise in complex financial, energy and regulatory matters, The Law Crest LLP provides legal services across corporate & commercial law, foreign investment, banking & finance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, energy and natural resources, real estate and construction, insolvency and restructuring, intellectual property, employment and immigration, and dispute resolution.
Congratulating Ishola and Aliyu on their “well-deserved promotion to Senior Associate”, The Law Crest LLP said their “hard work and commitment continue to shine”.
The firm also welcomed Itodo, who joins as a Senior Associate after serving as Legal Officer in recent years at Transalliance Holdings, an indigenous organisation that is innovating across fintech, mining, and hospitality to empower African communities.
Along with his law degree from the University of Jos, Itodo holds a Master of Laws in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Lagos. “Here’s to impactful contributions and continued success all around,” said the firm.
A member of Law Crest’s Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Team, Ishola covers contentious and non-contentious matters, with core experience in Labour and Industrial Relations, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, and Corporate & Commercial Law. A law graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University who was the Best Graduating Student in the Public Law Department, Ishola has been involved in representing clients before superior courts in Nigeria, including appellate courts, and supports the delivery of effective, commercially sound, and client-focused legal solutions.
Aliyu is a member of the firm’s Commercial and Business Advisory Team, where he supports the delivery of practical, commercially focused, and value- driven legal solutions. A graduate of the University of Ilorin, Aliyu regularly advises a wide range of domestic and international clients on financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, energy and projects, and general business advisory matters. He joined Law Crest last August as Team Lead for Transactions and Commercial Law, after gaining experience as an Interim Legal Counsel in Nigeria for PZ Cussons, a British multinational manufacturer of personal healthcare products and consumer goods.
