Kenyan firm G&A Advocates continues to invest in exceptional talent with two new associates
Established in 2006 by Eric Gumbo, G&A Advocates LLP is a full-service firm that contributes to key sectors of the Kenyan and regional economies. This week it announced talented associates Claret Pamua Leiro and Jonathan Koskey have joined the firm
To ensure that clients have the sharpest minds to navigate increasingly complex commercial and regulatory environments across Africa, leading Kenyan law firm G&A Advocates continuously invests in exceptional legal talent.
After boosting its capital markets expertise by adding corporate finance ‘titan’ Doreen Onwong’a as its new Head of Corporate Commercial earlier this year, G&A Advocates yesterday welcomed Claret Pamua Leiro, ACIArb, who previously worked as a Research and Compliance Officer at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, and corporate commercial attorney Jonathan Koskey as new associates.
“Our growing team remains firmly seated on advancing legal excellence, not only practicing law, but also shaping its future on the continent,” says G&A Advocates.
Leiro’s experience spans policy and legislative drafting, regulatory compliance, commercial law, and public international law.. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and a Certified Mediator. While at Kenya’s National Commission on Human Rights, she worked on constitutional and international human rights compliance, treaty reporting, legislative review, and policy analysis. She has also gained experience with the United Nations Environment Programme and international legal advisory work supporting foreign investment into Kenya.
Koskey, who recently joined the Corporate Commercial Department headed by Onwong’a, advises and assists clients on corporate and commercial transactions, capital markets, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and general commercial advisory matters. A law graduate of The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, he has a keen interest in corporate and commercial law and enjoys working with clients on a broad range of transactional and advisory matters.
The talented new duo of associates have joined G&A Advocates as the full-service Kenyan law firm is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Founded in 2006 by leading Kenyan lawyer Eric Gumbo MBS, the firm has built close-knit partnerships with a range of clients across the private sector, financial institutions, state corporations and agencies, local and national governments, regulatory bodies, domestic and international investors, and others across various industries.
The firm’s mission is to “reliably and diligently provide our clients with innovative and excellent legal solutions while providing exciting opportunities to our people”.
