CLK Avocats adds Yves Constant Amani as Head of its Natural Resources & ESG Department
Founded in 2008 in Abidjan, CLK Avocats is a leading West African firm born from a bold vision ‘to offer world-class legal services tailored to the realities, needs, and ambitions’ of African and international investors. It has now further bolstered its team with international business law expert Yves Constant Amani
Joining leading West African firm CLK Avocats this month as Managing Associate and Head of the Natural Resources & ESG Department is “an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of high-impact projects across the region”, shared award-winning international business lawyer and OHADA expert Yves Constant Amani, who has spent most of the past 15 years practising out of Guinea.
A bilingual lawyer, Amani holds a Master’s Degree in Private Law from the Catholic University of West Africa, an MBA in Corporate Finance from EDC Business School in Paris, and an LLM in International Business Law from the University of Cumbria.
He will lead CLK Avocats practice in Mining, Energy and Infrastructure across West Africa, advising investors, lenders, and sponsors on complex transactions, project structuring, and regulatory matters, working alongside a dynamic and internationally oriented team, including on activities in East Africa and the Indian Ocean region.
“I look forward to engaging with clients, partners and stakeholders on strategic opportunities in Natural Resources, Project Finance and Infrastructure,” he says.
Amani advises multinational corporations, development finance institutions, commercial banks, industrial groups and investors on high-value transactions across OHADA jurisdictions. Known for his innovative approach, he has integrated the latest developments in AI applied to law to deliver tailored, effective solutions. Amani is also a Certified Project Infrastructure & Financing Professional, combining legal expertise with technical knowledge in structuring capital-intensive projects.
As an international business lawyer, he has led major transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors, provided strategic guidance on public-private partnerships and cross-border projects, and overseen due diligence projects and contract negotiations. Amani has also contributed to Chambers Practice Guides, covering Corporate Governance, Business Immigration, and Project Finance.
Founded in 2008 in Abidjan by Lassiney-Kathann Camara, CLK Avocats has carried a clear and enduring ambition for almost twenty years: to empower the entrepreneurs and companies shaping the future of West Africa.
Over time, the firm has extended its pan-African vision beyond the continent, establishing itself through a Mauritius office and CLKA International Advisory as a strategic player at the heart of the economic, financial, and regulatory dynamics of the Indian Ocean. CLKA New York further embodies the firm’s international dimension, with the firm’s New York office serving as a bridge between emerging African markets and global decision-making centers, providing African and American businesses with direct access to strategic cross-border opportunities.
