Following the successful UK-Africa Virtual Trade Mission in December, the Legal Services are GREAT team will be hosting a virtual one-day spring conference for UK and African legal professionals on 22 April 2021.

This event will provide the opportunity to hear from general counsel and discover the latest trends in key sectors from international trade and financial services to extractives and technology.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to connect, collaborate and deepen your network potential.

Africa Legal will be working alongside high profile lawyers from both the UK and Africa as ‘Sector Champions’ to build a wealth of pre-event content including lively podcast discussions and informative Q&A’s.

Africa Legal Chief Executive, Scott Cowan said of the partnership, “The whole Africa Legal team are, once again, thrilled to be working alongside the UK Government and ‘Legal Services are GREAT’ team to deliver vital opportunities for learning, collaboration and networking between the legal services sector in the UK and key African countries.”

Speaking to Africa Legal, Emily Tofield, Director of Communications at the UK Ministry of Justice said, “The UK-Africa Spring Conference will bring together a high calibre of UK and African legal expertise. It builds on the Ministry of Justice’s highly successful, first ever virtual trade mission to Africa last year, which saw almost 400 legal professionals come together from across the UK and Africa and generated substantial business wins.

“This conference will provide delegates with a brilliant opportunity to build new business networks, develop existing ones and hear in-house perspectives on the latest legal trends. We are delighted to be working with Africa Legal again on this event to drive growth and promote opportunities between British and African legal professionals.”

Further details and registration information to follow. Keep track of event updates via Africa Legal and the Legal Services are GREAT LinkedIn page.
