Angela Simpson, one of the most senior female M&A practitioners in the South African market, and another M&A specialist, Janine Howard, joined the firm as partners on 1 April 2024 along with senior associate Dominika Pietrzak and associate Tsholofelo Mofokeng.

Simpson, who was partner and co-head of M&A at her previous firm, has 25 years’ experience in both public and private M&A transactions including in private equity and venture capital. Her expertise spans multiple sectors such as financial services, logistics, food and agriculture, mining, fast-moving consumer goods, telecommunications, technology and renewable energy.
Howard, who was a director designate at her previous firm, has nine years’ post-admission experience advising on corporate, mining, B-BBEE and private equity transactions in South Africa and other jurisdictions.
