West African firm Thiam & Associés scoops bilingual M&A lawyer Claudette Feutheu

Established in 2017, Conakry-based business law firm Thiam & Associés blends legal expertise with a commitment to African transformation. Today it announced international corporate and M&A lawyer Claudette Feutheu has joined its team.

West African business law firm Thiam & Associés, which is based in Guinea and is a legal counsel firm in Côte d’Ivoire, has today continued its founding principles of international expertise matched with passion for business law and Africa with the announcement that M&A lawyer Claudette Feuthue has joined as an associate.

Admitted to both the Paris and Cameroon bars, Claudette specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and private equity. She advises investment funds, financial institutions and industrialists in the context of transactions in France and Africa, with expertise in OHADA business law, French law, and Moroccan law.

Fluent in French and English, Claudette holds an LLM in Corporate Law and Finance from Widener-Delaware Law School in the United States, dual Masters qualifications in Competition Law, and Business Law Practice, from Lille Catholic University in France, and a Certificate in Business Management from EDHEC Business School.

Like the founders of Thiam & Associés, who were African lawyers sharing a common passion for business law and Africa who had gained legal expertise in prestigious international law firms, Claudette has worked over the past few years at leading global law firms DLA Piper and CMS, as well as France’s largest law firm, Fidal.

Claudette has assisted both French and foreign clients with transactions, due diligence, balance sheet restructuring and reorganizations, private equity, mergers, universal transfers of assets, sale of assets/businesses, shareholder disputes, legal monitoring of companies, contract law, civil and commercial litigation.
