Casablanca-based SILA Law Firm, which was launched last July via the merger of two Moroccan legal practices, Lys Law and Deprez Advisors, has begun 2026 by further strengthening its corporate, M&A, and finance capabilities by welcoming Karim Mourtada, an attorney at the Paris Bar, to the firm as a Senior Associate.
Driven by a common vision of a modern, rigorous, and innovative law firm, corporate and M&A expert Hajar Benyachou and technology and intellectual property lawyer Pierre Deprez launched Sila Law Firm as a strategic partner for Moroccan, international, and pan-African companies looking to structure activities and secure operations, as the region undergoes unprecedented investment and development.
“I am excited to start this new chapter within a firm known for its strong business law expertise, deal-driven culture and pragmatic approach to complex transactions,” shared Karim today. A law graduate of Nantes University, with a Masters of Law and Tax Management from EDHEC Business School and the Catholic University of Lille, Karim is an attorney at the Paris Bar who has practiced in France and Morocco.
“I look forward to leveraging my experience in M&A, financing and cross-border transactions to support clients, alongside a talented team firmly international in its outlook and committed to delivering high-value legal solutions,” he said.
Karim joins SILA Law Firm to continue to develop the firm’s Corporate, M&A and Finance practice, further strengthening its support to companies and investors in their strategic transactions.
