Leading Zambian firm Musa Dudhia & Co bolsters ranks by adding disputes expert Ken Phiri as a new partner

Leading Zambian law firm ALN Zambia | Musa Dudhia & Co is delighted to announce that talented young litigator and arbitrator Ken Phiri has joined the firm as a new partner. “Ken joins our dispute resolution team with a wealth of experience and deep expertise in handling complex and high value litigation and arbitration,” says the firm.

Most recently a senior associate at another Lusaka-based full service corporate and commercial firm, Corpus Legal Practitioners, Ken is a law graduate of the University of Lusaka, with a Master’s in Commercial Law from the University of Zambia.

He was recently elected to the Young Members Group Executive Committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in Zambia, for the 2025-2026 year.

The CIArb Young Members Group aims at promoting the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Zambia by bringing together young professionals under the age of 40 and with a keen interest and drive in alternative dispute resolution. The group creates a platform for young professionals in Zambia to sharpen their skills and interact with other alternative dispute resolution professionals worldwide.

In his past role, Ken has been part of teams that have won Zambian Firm of the Year at the 2025 IFLR Africa Awards, and the Chambers and Partners Africa Awards 2025.

He also contributed to the 2025 Lexology Arbitration Guide providing insights on arbitration in the Zambian jurisdiction, sharing key developments and best practices.

Ken has shown talent, dedication, and leadership throughout his legal career.

In his first year as a learner legal advocate in 2016, Ken was also named as International Youth Federation Regional Director for Africa, nominated to the role by The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Zambia to the United Nations, New York.

Before then, as a law student Ken had been involved in youth empowerment programmes with strong support of women and girls empowerment, as well as been advocacy for better education of girls and boys of all classes in Zambia.
