Leading Nigerian corporate firm Banwo & Ighodalo promotes eight talented lawyers to Senior Associate

As it looks to the future, it has promoted eight talented lawyers to Senior Associate.
The promotions of eight talented lawyers to Senior Associate reflects the strength of each of their contributions and the confidence held in their ongoing leadership within the firm and for clients, as well as their role in upholding the firm’s standards of excellence, said leading Nigerian corporate law firm Banwo & Ighodalo on Friday.
Founded in 1991, Banwo & Ighodalo prides itself on providing innovative, competent, cost-effective and well-timed solutions. The eight new Senior Associates serve across the firm’s practice areas, including private equity, banking and finance, energy, shipping aviation and international trade (SAIT), and corporate securities and finance.
The new Senior Associates have “demonstrated exceptional legal expertise, sound commercial judgment, and a deep commitment to client service” said the firm in its official announcement on Friday, as it congratulated Ayotunde Adegbola , Ibiyemi Ajiboye, Jane Odili, Mayowa Olagbaiye, Moyo Omidiran, Olere Ilegogie, Temitope Oyeyemi, and Wonuola Omonuwa on their promotions.
A graduate of the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, Ayotunde Adegbola practices in the Corporate, Securities and Finance team at Banwo & Ighodalo, where she advises both Nigerian and international clients alike in respect of a wide range of corporate and commercial law issues. Both Ibiyemi Ajiboye and Jane Odili practice in the private equity space. Mayowa Olagbaiye, who holds an LLM from Durham University alongside his law degree from the University of Lagos, advises on banking and finance transactions across sectors including infrastructure development, transportation, telecommunication, power, real estate, and international trade.
Moyo Omidiron is an associate of the Firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group and advises both local and international clients on various transactions in the oil, gas, and power sector. The firm’s specialist Shipping, Aviation, and International Trade (SAIT) team has seen two promotions, with Olerie Ilegogie and Temitope Oyeyemi both elevated to Senior Associate. Ilegogie earned an LLM from the University of Buckingham, and Oyeyemi an LLM from the University of Swansea.
Wonuola Omonuwa, a solution-oriented legal practitioner with over eleven years’ experience, has also been promoted to Senior Associate. She excels in providing strategic legal counsel to clients, specialising in legal advisory, company secretarial services, regulatory compliance, immigration, and employment law matters.
