Kenyan firm RONN Law tabs Sean Omondi as its new Managing Partner

An innovative Nairobi-based firm with an African and international outlook, RONN Law was established in 2020 by five leading lawyers. This week the firm announced Sean Omondi is taking the baton from Anthony Njogu as Managing Partner.

A leadership transition announced this week marks a new chapter for innovative, boutique Kenyan law firm RONN Law Advocates LLP, as Sean Omondi becomes Managing Partner, succeeding Anthony Njogu who has led the firm since its launch in 2020 and throughout its formative years, growth, and shift to new premises.

RONN Law was established during the pandemic by five leading Kenyan lawyers with pan-African experience, who shared a vision of delivering commercially focused and creative legal solutions to clients in a nimble, agile way.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to our outgoing Managing Partner, Anthony Njogu for his outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment and lasting contribution to the firm,” shared RONN Law when making the leadership announcement. “We are also pleased to note that Anthony will remain with the firm as a Partner and we look forward to his continued contribution in this capacity.”

The firm added that it looks forward to the vision, energy and continued excellence Omondi, another of the firm’s founding partners, will bring in his new leadership role.

Described as an “innovative, strategic, efficient and razor-sharp litigator”, Omondi helps clients with both corporate and employment disputes.

A law graduate of the University of Nairobi who began his career in 2004 as a Legal Assistant with century-old firm Daly & Figgis (where he rose to Partner), Omondi focuses on advising large corporates, NGOs and senior executives on collective bargaining, employment policies and procedures, performance management, separations and collective terminations, staff contracting and unionisation.

His elevation to Managing Partner reflects RONN Law's commitment to combining legal excellence with commercial insight. The innovative firm describes itself as a business-minded practice that helps clients navigate complex legal challenges while identifying opportunities for growth. It has also embraced technology, aiming to "drive the legal revolution" through modern legal service delivery.

Omondi is also a Certified Company Secretary, Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

With Omondi assuming the role of Managing Partner and Njogu continuing as a Partner, RONN Law Advocates LLP enters its next phase of growth under a leadership team that combines continuity with a forward-looking approach to serving clients across Kenya's evolving legal and business landscape.
