Innovative Nigerian firm Niji Oni & Co promotes talented young lawyer Ezinne Ogbonna to Senior Associate
Niji Oni & Co is an innovative, client-centric firm with offices in Lagos and Abuja, tailoring a green legal practice among its full-service offering. In recognition of Ezinne Ogbonna’s outstanding contributions and service, it has announced her promotion to Senior Associate.
Just ahead of her third anniversary of joining full-service Nigerian firm Niji Oni & Co, talented young lawyer Ezinne Ogbonna has seen her “outstanding contributions and service to the firm” recognised with a promotion this month to Senior Associate.
A graduate of the University of Nigeria, with seven years’ legal experience, Ezinne is a member of Niji Oni & Co’s Dispute Resolution department, and Hospitality, Food, and Agriculture practices, advising a diverse range of local and international clients.
Her professional experience spans agribusiness, hospitality, project finance, trade and investment, corporate legal advisory, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. Ezinne combines her knowledge and expertise to navigate complex legal challenges, offering tailored solutions to clients at the intersection of law and business. She is committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of her practice.
Also part of Niji Oni & Co’s government business team, Ezinne has also advised the Banjul Accord of Accident Investigation Board (BAGAIA) on the amendment of the cooperation agreement between the Council of Ministers for African States.
“We look forward to her continued excellence and success in this new role,” said the firm, as it congratulated Ezinne on her well-deserved promotion to Senior Associate.
Established in 2017, Niji Oni & Co is an innovative, client-centric practice with offices in Lagos and Abuja that has a strong interest in agriculture, life sciences and healthcare, renewable energy, and innovation among its full-service offering.
Speaking to Africa Legal at London International Disputes Week earlier this year, founder and Principal Adeniji A Oni (Niji) said that while his firm is full-service, it has also been tailoring ‘the green practice, concentrating on projects around agriculture, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and emerging technologies.
“Why is that? It’s very simple, because those areas require lots of specialisation, they’re globally recognised sectors, and bring projects from different parts of the world. We’ve done several advisories from Asia, from the Americas, and also from Europe that are tailored and specialised in these sectors I classify as green practice.”
Ezinne has contributed significantly to the firm’s publications on agribusiness, and her expertise includes agriculture, healthcare and life sciences, and ESG matters.
