“Our vision is to become a leading global technological solution provider to both legal practices and commercial organisations,” said Raphael Segal, Director of Legal Interact, “and our mission is to provide technological solutions to address the pain points that we identify through our in-depth understanding of the broader legal industry. The rebrand is not just cosmetic – we’ve expanded our offering beyond that of law practices to address the requirements of in-house legal counsel and commercial requirements.”
Coinciding with the unveiling of the new brand, Legal Interact launched two new products – Matter Manager and Contract Manager. Leah Molatseli, Head of Business Development at Legal Interact, explained further. “Previously we had focused on law practices, some examples of this are our Practice Manager Pro or FeeTrak products. What we have now done is include into our suite of legal technology products that cater to broader markets, such as Matter Manager for in-house legal teams and Contract Manager for commercial organisations.”
Matter Manager centralises key outcomes that all in-house counsel needs, from task allocations and notifications and business intelligence needed to make important decisions, to being able to manage panel attorneys and having an overview of the legal spend. All of this is packed into a user-friendly interface cloud platform available for even the most mobile professionals.
Contract Manager is a post-signature contract management solution geared to track contractual obligations and improve efficiencies with advanced OCR technology.
Since the rebrand, Molatseli says “there is an air of excitement and anticipation, where every single one of us is called on to show up and it shows in the morale of my fellow colleagues”. She says team members are growing and pushing themselves to do more; “for me that is not only empowering, but it's also inspiring to experience.”
The company also updated their corporate website (www.legalinteract.com), enabling clients to discover them in a simpler and more logical way. The move from a localised co.za domain to .com further reflects the company’s vision to introduce their solutions to markets beyond South Africa.
When asked what Legal Interact’s long term goal is with regard to switching to the .com address, Molatseli answered: “This move is repositioning us in what that reflects our goals and ambitions. Making it easier for not only local potential clients to find us, but equally so for us to fully participate in the global economy in the way that we want to.”.’
“From its foundational perspective, that’s really all we are aiming for – taking on the global market one region at a time,” she said. “And not only do we have incredibly scalable and quality solutions, but we also have the right team to drive this mission forward. The long-term dream is to do just that, drive impact in the global market through not only our current, but also future solutions that we find a need for in the legal market.”
