Commenting on the announcement of this new event, 2020 co-chairperson, Daniel Driscoll of Endeavour Mining said, “It was wonderful to see the return of a dedicated session for extractives’ lawyers in 2020.
“Indaba brings mining experts from around the world together to share ideas and is the only event of its kind for Africa.
“I am delighted to see that for 2021 the Indaba GC Forum is being combined with Africa Oil Week. The reality is that extractives’ lawyers tend to do both mining and hydrocarbons because the legal issues are substantially similar.”
