This gap between those who have access to the internet and those who don’t, not only underscores the urgent need for robust digital infrastructure but also presents vast investment opportunities in the digital economy to bridge the divide. Organisations that follow through on these opportunities will enhance connectivity and access to information, and will drive economic progress, create jobs and improve the quality of life for millions.
With this situation in mind, Jackson, Etti & Edu (JEE) is hosting an event in London in October, themed “Investing in Africa’s Digital Economy: Catalysing the Next Frontier of Growth”. The event will bring together leading industry professionals, financiers, regulators, and policymakers to discuss the strategic importance of these investments and the regulatory measures needed to foster a thriving digital ecosystem.
The keynote speaker is Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of Coronation Capital. A Nigerian banker, entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist, he is one of the leading figures behind Nigeria’s finance and investment industry. The event will also feature two panel discussions and a “fireside chat”.
Through this event JEE hopes to identify the most promising investment opportunities in key areas within Africa’s digital economy, particularly in infrastructure development and technological innovation. As a pan-African law firm, JEE is also looking to form strategic partnerships between industry professionals, financiers, and regulators aimed at driving digital growth and expanding access to technology across the continent.
With Africa still largely left behind in the quest for the world’s adoption of the digital economy, JEE hopes their event will help create a comprehensive roadmap to bridge the digital divide.
The event will be held at 2.30pm on 28 October 2024 at the Bulgari Hotel, Knightsbridge, London. Register by clicking here.
