Calling the next generation of energy leaders

The African Law Students’ Association (ALSA) has joined forces with EnergyNet Ltd. to empower Africa’s youth to become the next generation of energy leaders and catalysts for the energy transition in Africa.

The Youth Energy Summit (YES!) was launched in Brussels, Belgium, in 2022 and will be run in Nairobi, Kenya, from 20 to 23 June 2023, alongside the Africa Energy Forum. The large scale YES! Expo will focus on graduates, educators, early career professionals and MSMEs to better enable human capital development across Africa’s flourishing energy sector.

ALSA is collaborating with YES! to support law students and early career lawyers in the public and private sector. The event will help provide them with the requisite tools – both soft- and technical skills – to develop and prosper, and will give them the opportunity to meet with peers and senior influencers from across the continent.

ALSA members who participate at YES! will be provided with a blended programme addressing leadership skills, business development and planning, on-boarding graduates, and narrowing the gap between education and employment. Participants will also be able to attend in-depth workshops on project and green capital finance, as well as future technologies and innovation.

ALSA invites all its members to register for YES! which is free for all students and educators in Africa, as well as some entrepreneurs. Click here to find out more.
