ǼLEX Team Marks International Women’s Day

International Women's Day was marked at West African law firm, ǼLEX, with a career talk by Mrs Lola Esan of Ernst & Young and a team building session for female staff.

The theme was #BalanceforBetter and, in ǼLEX tradition, encouraged a life of balance in the workplace for all employees.

Part of the event included an interactive forum that coached lawyers and non-legal staff in how to find a work-life balance, plan their careers and grow on a personal level.

Two ǼLEX lawyers – Senior Associate, Ngozi Efobi and Associate, Hannatu Dan-Habu were interviewed live by a TV news channel (Television Continental) where they spoke on the significance of International Women’s Day and what balance means to them. This was a highlight of the day for the whole team.

As part of ǼLEX’s social media campaign, the firm celebrated all its female lawyers and support staff for the seven days leading up to International Women’s Day – illustrating that true diversity exists in an African law firm with an international footprint.

ǼLEX is a full service commercial and dispute resolution law firm. It is one of the largest law firms in West Africa with offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja in Nigeria and Accra in Ghana. The firm merges local legal expertise and presence, political and industry-wide connections - always with an appreciation for global standards. info@aelex.com
