Ugandan firm Diamond Advocates focuses on future as it adds judge’s clerk Priscilla Nayiga

Diamond Advocates is a premier Ugandan law firm offering legal services across a broad spectrum of practice areas, and a pioneer in technology and AI law. Looking to the future, last week it added talented young lawyer Priscilla Nayiga to its team

The welcome addition of talented young banking and fintech lawyer Priscilla Nayiga last week is a new chapter in the legacy of Diamond Advocates, says Tony Galandi Kiire, the founder and Managing Partner of the tech-savvy Ugandan law firm.

“In an era of complex financial frontiers, the demand for sharp, principled legal counsel has never been more urgent,” he says. “Nayiga brings not merely academic prowess, but a keen intellect and unwavering integrity that are the very bedrock of our practice. We are confident that she will ably steward the trust of our clients and contribute significantly to the jurisprudence that shapes our nation's commerce.”

A graduate of Makerere University, Nayiga has also completed an LLM in Banking, Corporate, Finance and Securities Law, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a professional certification from the European University Institute’s Academy of European Law (AEL) in Florence, Italy. Throughout the majority of 2025 she has interned as a Judicial Law Clerk at the High Court of Uganda.

“I am very humbled and excited to start this new journey,” shared Nayiga, who describes herself as a corporate and commercial lawyer with a strong focus on banking, finance, fintech, artificial intelligence, and data protection.

Having recognised the transformative power of technology, Diamond Advocates says it became a pioneer in Technology and Artificial Intelligence Law, guiding clients through uncharted territory as digital innovation began to disrupt industries.

As founder of Diamond Advocates, Kiire believes the future of legal practice lies in anticipating the changing needs of business and society. With a keen eye on global trends and a strong foundation in traditional legal practice, he set out to build a firm that was not just reactive to client demands, but proactive in shaping solutions for tomorrow. Looking to the future, Diamond Advocates is also a member of WONE Global, a unified global brand bringing together top-tier law, audit, accounting, tax, and business advisory firms under one identity, one standard, across every border.

Its newest associate likewise has a future-focused, practical outlook.

“I enjoy helping institutions, startups, and innovators understand their legal landscape and make confident decisions,” shares Nayiga on her LinkedIn profile. “My work spans transactional support, regulatory compliance, and advisory across a wide range of financial services. I’m driven by a commitment to clarity, efficiency, and practical solutions that allow businesses to thrive in a fast-changing market.”

Kiire and the Diamond Advocates team proudly welcomed Nayiga last week, praising her acumen as “a vital infusion for the noble calling of stewarding our clients’ trust and shaping financial jurisprudence”, while noting the journey of excellence is an ongoing one, and pledging support for Nayiga’s developing career.
