Leading Namibian law firm SNC Inc promotes homegrown talent Esther Nangula Kiangi to Senior Associate

Windhoek-based specialist energy and natural resources, corporate law and disputes firm SNC Inc has continued its growth with the elevation of a former intern to Senior Associate
The journey of Esther Nangula Kiangi from candidate attorney to Senior Associate exemplifies SNC Inc’s vision and commitment to recognising and nurturing the talent and leaders of today and tomorrow, said the leading Namibian firm, yesterday.
Esther joined Windhoek-based SNC Inc as a candidate legal practitioner in April 2021, having previously interned at the specialist energy and natural resources, corporate and disputes law firm. She became an Associate in December 2023, after being admitted as a legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia.
She blends expertise in legal counsel, strategic communications, and energy law.
“There are seasons when preparation meets opportunity, and a quiet readiness finally takes shape,” shared Esther on social media, following yesterday’s announcement of her promotion. “Being promoted to Senior Associate at SNC Inc is one of those moments for me. It is more than a title; it is a meaningful reflection of trust, growth, and the continuous journey of becoming.”
She thanked SNC founder Shakwa Nyambe, who recently became the first African to lead global organisation AIEN, for his mentorship and for seeing her potential and entrusting her with the new role as a Senior Associate at the firm. “Your confidence in my abilities has been an anchor, and I am grateful to continue learning under your guidance. As I step forward, I do so with hope, determination, and a quiet confidence that there is more ahead to build, more to learn, and more to give.”
A law graduate of the University of Nottingham, with an LLM in Oil, Gas, and Mining from Nottingham Trent University, Esther has also served as a legal advisor at Triumphant College, and a Director at Vibrant Upstream Services, a wholly owned Namibian energy, oilfield services and infrastructure development company.
The nurturing and growth of Esther from intern and candidate legal practitioner with SNC Inc continues the firm’s ethos of developing future leaders.
Last year, SNC Inc made Shafimana Shimakeleni, who had joined the firm as an associate in 2021, one of the youngest partners in Namibia’s legal fraternity. Like Esther, Shafimana had been mentored by Managing Partner Shakwa Nyambe, helping to instill the core values and principles that embody SNC Inc’s culture.
“Esther’s dedication to our clients and her expertise in the legal field have made her a valuable member of the team,” said the firm when announcing her elevation to Senior Associate, yesterday. “Her leadership and passion continues to drive our firm forward. Congratulations, Esther on this well-deserved accomplishment.”
