Experienced conveyancer and corporate counsel join forces to launch new Zimbabwean firm

New Harare-based law firm Pesanai & Tshuma Corporate Attorneys is looking to guide businesses through complex landscapes with strategic advice while also supporting families to resolve sensitive matters and protect what matters most.

Experienced Zimbabwean in-house counsel, company secretary, and wealth advisor Mercia Tshuma has partnered with longtime conveyancing expert Banda Pesanai to launch a new Harare firm that aims to provide strategic advice to individuals, families, and businesses across corporate law, family law, estate planning and administration, conveyancing, notarial work, and labour consulting.

Pesanai & Tshuma Corporate Attorneys provides pragmatic legal solutions tailored to both corporate and personal legal needs, and brings proven expertise, trusted insight, and a deep commitment to guiding clients through complex legal matters with clarity and confidence.

Banda Pesanai, the Managing Partner of the new firm, is a highly skilled legal professional with expertise in labour law, conveyancing, notarial practice, estate administration, and family law. He has worked in a variety of conveyancing and securities registration, management, or executive roles over the past two decades, and was most recently an associate at Harare firm Madzivire Attorneys at Law. 

A cornerstone of the new firm, Mercia Tshuma brings over 14 years of legal experience, having spent the past several years working in corporate counsel roles.

Most recently an Executive Legal Advisor and Head of Wealth Advisory at the Zimbabwe offices of multinational firm BDO, Tshuma’s areas of expertise at Pesanai ^ Tshuma Corporate Attorneys will include corporate law, family law, estate planning, notarial practice, and conveyancing. She is known for her client-focused approach and commitment to delivering strategic, practical legal solutions that uphold the firm’s values of excellence, integrity, and professionalism.
