LIDW24 will serve as a unique global forum for legal practitioners, academics, and experts to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and foster collaboration on critical global challenges and opportunities facing the legal community today.
The new focus accompanies refreshed ambition, with LIDW also announcing the main conference will move to the Queen Elizabeth II Centre – the largest venue the conference has been held in to date, with a capacity of up to 700.
A new leadership team has also been announced and LIDW will now be led by three leading London lawyers with Henrietta Jackson-Stops stepping up as one of the three co-chairs.
Jackson-Stops is a commercial mediator whose practice encompasses a broad range of civil and commercial disputes. With a background as a litigator for a Magic Circle firm and experience in international arbitration and public international law, she brings valuable experience to LIDW.
“This year’s conference encourages collaboration across dispute resolution and litigation and aims to expand our focus to encompass all types of disputes,” Jackson-Stops said. “Personally, I am excited to see the growth of mediation as a topic for the week.”
The concept of unity, which will run as a core element of the event, lays the foundation for increased international and in-house attendance as well as private practice lawyers.

The adapted adopted theme accompanies significant enhancements that will be made to the week itself, in particular to continue to attract a broader international and in-house audience and to provide participants from younger age groups with increased access to the week. This will include an academic and social programme for the young and young at heart, known as YAHAH.
LIDW continues to solidify its position as a leading event in the international dispute resolution landscape, following the resounding success of LIDW23. This year’s event hosted over 13 000 individual event attendances, 3 000 in-person delegates, over 1 000 virtual delegates, close to 800 international delegates, almost 500 speakers, and over 100 panel sessions.
