Exigent is searching for a Legal Project Manager to partner with our attorneys and other professionals to deliver legal services more effectively. This amazing opportunity is to further implement positive and significant change, with a direct impact on our clients experience through defined project plans and process innovation, enhancing efficiency and improve the divisions overall profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Partner with Attorneys to nurture and manage client relationships, delivering client services of the highest quality
• Identify, understand, and advise clients on solutions / technology and best practice to meet client requirements and establish the scope of support needed
• Innovate opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of client service and implementing solutions
• Work with the lawyers and BD in the preparation of pitches with a focus on building realistic budgets and staffing for clients
• Formulate, assessing, testing, and implementing legal technology
• Support the continuous improvement initiatives, new legal service development, product development and product management initiatives
• Track project costs in order to meet budget
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Previous experience managing legal projects
• Great understanding of technology and contracts
• Excellent communication skills and a strong technical understanding of development and design terminology
• 4-8 years of project management and related experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

Package & Remuneration

R35, 000 to R40, 000 per calendar month depending on experience
