This is a multi-functional role suitable for someone interested in working, learning and advising many parts of a dynamic, international fast paced PE-backed business.
You will work closely with business leaders across all functions and jurisdictions, on both compliance, company secretarial matters and commercial matters.
Deliver a best in class legal service across Praesidiad.
Identify, manage and resolve areas of legal, regulatory and business risk across Praesidiad.
Provide legal support across all functions, including sales, procurement, operations and HR, in particular support the USA business: primarily material supplier contracts, customer master contracts, orders related specifications, product materials and warranties.
Take responsibility for group compliance, regulatory, data protection and company secretarial matters.
Keep up to date on relevant legal developments and ensuring steps are taken to address necessary changes.
Skills, Education and Experience Required:
Completed Articles at a reputable commercial law firm.
Have one year post articles experience.
Mindset and the ability and preparedness to learn and adapt to our business and industry is more important to us than specific areas of sector or practice expertise. However, experience across the following areas would be beneficial:
Experience on corporate matters and company secretarial matters
Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts including supply, distribution, agency and licensing agreements.
Experience in compliance generally, including drafting and managing policies and roll-out, identifying risks, and dealing with issues and complaints.
Experience managing disputes.
A basic understanding of intellectual property law.
Employment law experience would be advantageous.
Knowledge across multiple practice areas and willingness to learn others.
Preparedness to develop awareness of key legal aspects across multiple jurisdictions in which Praesidiad does business.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to juggle and prioritise a number of competing matters.
Ability to identify and take action in relation to key areas of risk.
Ability to own and take responsibility projects and workstreams.
Strong relationship building and influencing skills and experience working with senior executives.
English language skills to business standard required. Additional languages beneficial but not required.
