Leading global law firm is seeking to hire a highly motivated employment and data protection lawyer, at senior associate level, to join their team in Johannesburg.
Strong academic background
Minimum 3 years PQE
Ideally experience in both employment law and data protection law
Understanding of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and how this is distinguishable from the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (advantageous)
Experience in assisting clients with data protection compliance projects and data breaches
Expertise and experience in advising global organisations in relation to the full life cycle of employment (providing advice in relation to mergers, restructurings, retrenchments and section 197 transfers)
Experience with training, litigation and conducting employment-related investigations (preferable)
