The BD Manager is responsible for using his or her professional services, BD expertise and knowledge of the market to lead all of AELEX business development and marketing activities to drive revenue growth in the market.
In close collaboration with the marketing Partner as well as the other Partners, the BD Manager leads marketing initiatives of all practice areas to drive progress and maintain the highest levels of service in all core BD functions.
The BD Manager would work primarily with the Marketing Partner as well as the other Partners to ensure that all BD projects and initiatives align with the Firm’s business strategy.
Key tasks Include
Creating an effective marketing strategy, implementing, analyzying key metrics and tweaking strategy as needed.
Working closely with the marketing partner and other assigned employees to create and customize targeted client pitches/RFPs.
Identifying opportunities through systematic research and analysis for new business opportunities.
Maintaining, branding and creating new client collateral materials that help drive new business Planning events and marketing campaigns, working with the editorial team to help drive social media and PR, and maintaining updated marketing materials across all practice areas.
Ensuring client service and satisfaction is attained at all levels.
Planning and executing all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email and social media Collaborating with agencies and other vendor partners.
Collaborating with IT & Newsletter & Publication teams as may be required Ensuring AELEX Website is updated at all times with the following information:
Profiles of the firm, its partners and associates;
Events (e.g. the AELEX Lecture) and conferences attended by lawyers and partners of the firm; Firm news and updates, e.g. appointment of new partners, landmark cases, appointment of partners or staff to positions on various bodies; and Political content, e.g. review and appraisal of Laws;
Designing, creating and managing promotions and Social ad campaigns
Any other duties as may be assigned.
The main qualifications for this position are:
B.sc/M.sc Degree in marketing or any other field with relevant experience.
Minimum of 7 years proven working experience in marketing/ digital marketing.
Extensive understanding of business development and/or PR principles and best practices and of business development techniques.
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or advertising campaigns.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
Must have a track record of interacting and building relationships with C-level client contacts.
Develops and leads implementation of an AELEX-wide business development strategy; represents AELEX at conferences, seminars and events, as well as acts as a key AELEX spokesperson for the press and other media.
Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations
Develops and obtains approval from Partners for business development strategies and plans in order to achieve growth and financial profitability across all practice areas.
Displays in-depth knowledge of social media platforms as well as their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how these platforms can be deployed in different scenarios.
Ability to travel as needed.
