The candidate will partake in all marketing and business development initiatives for the firm’s Strategic Alliance partners and Desk teams covering Eastern Europe, Africa and India (EEAI). This includes: supporting the Global Law Firm conference, execution of strategic alliance and Desk business plans, marketing campaigns and initiatives, pitch preparation, maintenance and drafting of targeted marketing collateral, support on client meetings/roadshows, and drafting directory, award & league table submissions etc.
The Marketing assistant’s key responsibilities include:
supporting the execution of Strategic Alliances and EEAI business plans
broad support for the Global Law Firm conference – list preparation, project management of agenda priorities, “on the day” execution etc
preparation and maintenance of pitch / factsheet / gatefold / presentation documents
maintenance of Desk wiki page & Linklaters website (e.g. of desk summaries and key contacts etc)
co-ordination and initial drafting of internal and local firm market intel / deal opportunity summaries
project management and drafting of the EEAI related directory, awards and league table submission process
general support on client roadshows, events and seminars – e.g. invitation and itinerary preparation etc
updating client and Desk referral trackers – encouraging full utilisation of Client Book (where appropriate)
monthly reporting (Africa/CEE/CIS/Turkey) and EEAI Dashboard - prepare and circulate reports including preparation of executive summary of key themes
working with the partnership to support the implementation of our client feedback programme – relationship, matter and pitch feedback e.g. minute taking
Participate in ad hoc projects as part of the EEAI marketing team
Liaise with global marketing teams to answer ad hoc queries
Characteristics, Skills & Experience required:
London or Warsaw
Team work mentality – understanding that successful delivery relies on a team
Excellent communicator (written and verbal)
Strong drive and initiative
Very strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Robust and unflappable – ability to bounce back when challenged
Education / Qualification
Preferably degree qualified, but experience will be taken into account
Relevant marketing qualification (desirable)
Relevant experience in BD/Marketing
Broad understanding of how a law firm operates
Excellent project management skills
Highly PC and IT literate
Good presentation skills
Confident to run meetings and take control of actions
Business and commercial awareness
An understanding of how businesses operate and make decisions
Ability to think strategically (desirable)
