Reena Thaker-Desai is an associate in the Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions practice group and heads the firm’s “French Focus”. Reena’s legal career started after she worked in the business and IT sectors.
She is experienced in advising clients on investment opportunities in Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange Rules, the regulatory aspects involved in pursuing investment in Zimbabwe, corporate structuring, intellectual property, competition law, banking and finance, trade finance and commercial law. As the head of the French Focus, and someone fluent in French, she is well positioned as a conduit for French business interests in Zimbabwe. Her business development skills allow her to engage with members of Francophone countries to identify investment opportunities as well as offering corporate structuring and risk mitigation advice. Reena also serves as a member of the Board of the Alliance Française of Zimbabwe.
